Karen's appreciation of the natural beauty around us has always been a major inspiration for her work, with landscapes, seascapes and floral her main subjects. Her love of working with dye on silk is her favourite medium. She says " It can be very challenging at times as it has a way of it's own on application but creates beautiful and powerful effects which illuminate and produce an ethereal appearance to the painting".
